He is one of Italy's most reknowned underwater photographers and has collaborated with one of the foremost research centers and publishers in this field. He is the author of Sardinia: Guide to Diving (White Star), and he has contributed to several books on underwater diving. He has played a pivotal role in recent underwater archaeological excavations.
