From the reviews: This book is about the basic understanding of theoretical meteorology . The book is beautifully laid out, using a set of consistent symbols and high-quality illustrations which are carefully prepared. This is a valuable book for all undergraduate meteorology students in their advanced semesters, postgraduate students, professionals engaged in teaching theoretical meteorology, or those who look for a general reference on the subject. (Y. Shao, Meteorologische Zeitschrift, Vol. 22 (6), February, 2014)
