by HeikoLanio (Author)
These photographs of Paris aim to offer new perspectives on some of the city's most familiar sights and, in so doing, to draw attention to the clash between the old and the new in its architecture, people and history. Photographs cover such sights as a baroque arch of the Eiffel Tower, a curve of the Pont Alexandre III, a brasserie in Montparnasse, an underground Metro station in Montmartre and an old woman feeding pigeons at the foot of the Sacre Coeur. Heiko Lanio won the 1994 Minolta Art Project. This book is published as part of the Photopocket series, a series of city guides designed to be easy to use whilst sightseeing.
