Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. DIETGER HAHN arbeitet seit vielen Jahren besonders intensiv auf dem Gebiet des Controlling und insbesondere auch auf den Gebieten der strategischen Planung und strategischen F hrung. Er ist Autor des Controllingstandardwerkes ber integrierte Planungs- und Kontrollsysteme mit integrierter Planungs- und Kontrollrechnung (PuK - 6. Auflage, 2001) und vieler weiterer einschl giger Ver ffentlichungen. Nach seinem Studium des Wirtschaftsingenieurwesens und Eisenh ttenwesens und mehrj hriger Konzernpraxis erhielt er Rufe an die Universit ten bzw. Technischen Hochschulen in Gie en, Aachen, Berlin und Kiel und absolvierte Gastdozentent tigkeiten im Ausland. Zusammen mit Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Knut Bleicher gr ndete er 1975 das Institut f r Unternehmungsplanung (IUP), das seinen Sitz in Gie en und Berlin hat. Er ist emeritierter Professor f r Industrielles Management und Controlling an der Justus-Liebig-Universit t Gie en und langj hriger Honorarprofessor an der Technischen Universit t Berlin, zudem Mitglied in mehreren Aufsichtsr ten/Beir ten in der Industrie und in Forschungsinstitutionen. Ferner geh rt er dem Beirat der Schmalenbach-Gesellschaft f r Betriebswirtschaft e. V. an.
Professor BERNARD TAYLOR is Executive Director of the Centre for Board Effectiveness, which offers teaching and research in corporate governance at Henley Management College, where he was formerly head of faculty in Strategy and International Management. He has founded two international journals Long Range Planning and The Journal of General Management and produced 24 books. He also established two European Councils in Corporate Strategy and Board Effectiveness for the Conference Board Europe.
At Henley he was a member of the team which produced Standards for the Board, the government-sponsored study of the roles and responsibilities of British boards of directors. He organises the leading International Conference on Corporate Governance and Board Leadership which takes place at Henley in October each year. He is also External Examiner for the Institute of Directors' Diploma in Company Direction.
Before becoming an academic he was in Marketing with Procter & Gamble and in Education and Training with Rank Xerox. He is also a consultant in Corporate Strategy to companies and public organisations in Britain and overseas.
His latest book with Philip Stiles is Boards at Work: How Directors View their Roles and Responsibilities, Oxford University Press, 2001. Other books include Driving Change in Financial Services with Ian Morison (Woodhead, 1999), Managing Technology for Competitive Advantage with Joe Anderson and Robin Fears (Financial Times, 1997) and Supergrowth Companies: Entrepreneurs in Action with John Harrison (Butterworth Heinemann, 1996).
