Tupac Remembered (33 1/3)

Tupac Remembered (33 1/3)

by Molly Monjauze (Author)

Synopsis

The personal connections Tupac Shakur made during his lifetime span from political leaders, to serious actors, to rap artists, and Tupac Remembered compiles these influential people's favourite and most cherished memories of Pac. Molly Monjauze, who was herself a close friend of Tupac's and has long worked for Amaru Entertainment, has collected contributions from people such as Jada Pinkett-Smith (with whom Tupac went to Baltimore School for the Arts), Jasmine Guy, Angie Martinez, Snoop Dogg, Johnny J , Dr. Dre, and the members of Outkast and Digital Underground. The book has an intimate feel, incorporating personal snapshots and design elements that play up the importance of the words of those who knew Tupac best. The first section concentrates on the memories of those who knew him before he became famous: the Black Panther members he grew up with, his classmates at Baltimore School for the Arts and Tam High, and his close-knit family. The second section focuses on the memories of those who knew him during his rise to fame, such as Quincy Jones, Leila Steinberg, and Big Syke.
