A Guide to Establishing and Maintaining Quality International Schools

A Guide to Establishing and Maintaining Quality International Schools

by Michael J . Thompson (Author)

Synopsis

This book serves as a guide to the establishing and maintenance of quality international schools. It includes all factors that should be considered before beginning the lengthy and challenging process of founding a school, made even more complex by the probability that the school will serve an international curriculum to international and host nation students, frequently in a country that may not be the home country of many of the students, parents and teachers. It provides sections on all the relevant areas that must be considered carefully and planned for effectively before embarking on the journey into international education. Whilst the primary focus of this book is on international schools, it can also provide a useful guide for the establishment and improvement of any school, whether private or state owned. The book is intended to be a guide to all aspects of school development and improvement and the sections are listed in the order that people considering setting up a school should think about them in their deliberations and preparations. It addresses many relevant issues and also suggests further reading for new schools and also those established schools that are reviewing and considering their future development.
