Media Reviews
With picture books seeming to hew to ever more minimalist approaches, this retelling of a Norse myth, rich with adventure and mystery in a wonderfully picturesque package, comes as an opulent treat.
--Kirkus Reviews, STARRED REVIEW

Blending elements of picture book and graphic novel, Todd-Stanton's book offers a light introduction to Norse myth, drawn in a style that evokes both classic Franco-Belgian comics and the work of contemporary creators like Kate Beaton and Noelle Stevenson.
--Publisher's Weekly

I see this as also as a great read-together book for kids and parents/caregivers, with the readers going back to look at the drawings again and again. The art work is bright, vibrant and has the perfect amount of detail. The story moves quickly along with the illustrations.
--Deanna Evans, Sanibel Public Library

The illustrations in this book are really fun and help tell the story really well. People who like stories about the Norse gods will like this book. I hope that there will be other books like this!
--Kids' Book Buzz

This book is fantastic! [...] Arthur is just too cute and for any unpopular kids out there, this book will encourage them to embrace their uniqueness because as unlikely as Arthur is, he's the town's hero!
