A Doomed Marriage: Why Britain Should Leave the EU

A Doomed Marriage: Why Britain Should Leave the EU

by Daniel Hannan (Author), Daniel Hannan (Author)

Synopsis

In this incisive, clear-sighted and persuasive essay, Daniel Hannan unravels the history of the European Union and why it continues to fail. He demonstrates through insider experience that the EU is undemocratic, self-interested, and exports its ideology even when it is not in the best interests of the member countries. Hannan argues that far from being 'too small to survive', Britain, the fifth largest economy in the world, will be in a far stronger position if she leaves the EU. Hannan portrays a future for Britain in which - free of the deadening constraints of EU membership - will be free to negotiate her own trade terms, and become one of the most successful nations in the world.
