Media Reviews
'...quite simply one of the most beautiful picture books I have encountered...it pulls gently at your heart strings... For anyone who has ever been blessed enough to have an inspirational person in their lives, you will appreciate the nostalgia explored in this story, whilst memories are so important, it's today that matters most! I just loved it.' - TheBookActivist
Author Bio
Alison Jay's distinctive artwork style has been garnering awards for children's book illustration for 30 years now. Here, for the first time, she mixes her 'crackle glaze' nostalgic style with the more 'now' feel of gouache as we switch from past to present and back again. Alison's early career in animation can be glimpsed in the swooping movement of the artwork and the signature detail of the scenes, giving plenty to look at and discuss time and time again.
