Media Reviews
In a business and organizational context in which change is paramount, Glowinkowski and King show how focus, analysis and improvement at the level of individual behaviour can deliver enhanced performance. Based on years of systematic research and face-to-face encounters, the lessons contained in this book are invaluable for any modern organization seeking improvements in its operations and overall performance. A clear demonstration of how attention to the social psychology of work can really make a difference. -- Todd Landman, Professor of Government and Executive Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Essex
How do leaders impact business performance? This is a key question that this book answers with 40 years of research to back up the authors' conclusions. The Blue 4 leadership model is a brilliant balance between conviction (some ways of leading are absolutely better than others) and context (use the Blue 4 version best suited to achieving your strategic objectives). -- Eric Olson, CEO, Gillson Partnership
In this transformational book, Steve and Russell provide the reader with a practical toolbox revealing how to deliver profitable change. It provides answers to the many paradoxes we face every day when navigating transition and change. Uniquely it offers the reader a how to rather than just a why. It is a must read for anyone seeking to deliver predictability in times of change. -- Derek Peacock, CEO, Future Factory
In a sea of bland and overly simplistic books on change and leadership, this book has a great balance of intellectually rigorous research coupled with very practical models that are easy to use but very powerful in action. Traditional employee engagement methodologies tend to produce overly positive results, the blue four model produces a more realistic picture, the initial results will shock many leaders initially but once understood there is a wealth of practical help in the book. Nobody will pretend that institutional behavioural change is easy but at last here is something incredibly useful. -- Richard Beaven, Insurance Operations Director, Lloyds Banking Group
