Author Bio
Vanessa Betts is a writer and editor from England. She went to India in 1997, as the first stop on a round-the-world ticket, and then found out that nowhere else could quite compare. After time spent living and working in Australia, Egypt and England she has been based in India, chiefly in Kolkata, since March 2006. Vanessa now lives in Israel where she's updating Footprint's new guide to the country. Having spent much of his twenties travelling through the Middle East, South Asia and Southeast Asia, Dave was subsequently lured back to college and graduated with a first class degree from London University's School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS). He then joined the Footprint team, co-authoring Footprint Pakistan before writing the first and second editions of Footprint Israel.
