Homemade Gifts with Love

Homemade Gifts with Love

by Catherine Woram (Author)

Synopsis

Everyone loves to give presents, but instead of an expensive, impersonal store-bought gift, why not make something by hand that the recipient will adore? Here, Catherine Woram presents 35 projects for a range of lovely gifts to make at home using a variety of crafting techniques. Divided into four sections - Celebrations, High Days and Holidays, Saying Thank You, and Babies and Children - there is a gift for every occasion. The embroidered jewellery roll makes a beautiful birthday gift, or for a foodlover, you could make some sweet Easter biscuits in a hand-decorated basket. Show mothers how much they are appreciated with the intricate beaded corsage brooch, while fathers will love the picture frame decoupaged with old map paper. For a baby shower, the gorgeous applique baby blanket is perfect, and older children will treasure the painted toy box for years to come. Also included is a section on unique ways to wrap and present your gifts, as well as a sheet of 12 stick-on gift labels. With a useful techniques section at the back plus all the templates you'll need, this is a beautiful collection of gifts for crafters of all abilities.
