Synopsis

But when her love affair with their son, Mannie, is discovered, Koba is arrested and sent for repatriation to the lands of the Kalahari Desert. When her corrupt police guard hands her over to predator Andre Marais, a vindictive Boer who murdered her parents and is intent on killing her too, Koba knows she must escape and flee across the barren South West African sandveld.To survive she uses all she remembers of her San hunter wiles to find her nomadic tribe. But will she stay alive long enough to succeed after years of livigin among whites?Meanwhile, Mannie has set out to remdezvous with Koba, hitch-hiking across southern Afica to find her. But who will get there first - her lover or her pursuer?

Author Bio
Candi Miller, born in Zambia and brought up in South Africa, has been a journalist and advertising copywriter. She now lives in Staffordhire, England, where she teaches Creative Writing. In 1994, she undertook an expedition to the Kalahari Desert to visit groups of San (Bushman) people. There, she was caught up in a huge veld fire, charged by a bull elephant and enchanted by Ju/'hoansi story-telling around a campfire. The first novel in the Koba series, Salt and Honey, was published in August 2011.
