Synopsis

Pretty Knits is a wonderful collection of patterns of luxurious fashion pieces, stylish accessories and chic home furnishings. Using an array of sumptuous yarns in rich, luxe textures -such as silk, ribbon, mohair and cashmere- and luscious girlie colours inspired by flowers, candy and sugar-iced cakes, these ultra-feminine designs from Loop founder, Susan Cropper, will appeal to domestic goddesses and glamourpusses everywhere. The projects feature a variety of different stitches and techniques. Some are quick and easy, for those beginners who are craving just a little nudge to try out shaping or new stitches. Others will require more time and skill, like Louisa Harding's exquisite 'Cameo' Shawl, or Ruth Cross's 'Isobel' Gilet. Each pattern comes with yarn specifications and suggestions for embellishments using beads, buttons, ribbons, corsages and pompoms. And, though each will require your utmost attention, the results will be well worth it. The thirty specially commissioned patterns -all by leading international knitting designers- are divided into four chapters: 'Flirty Fashionista', 'Divine Accessories', 'Beautiful Boudoirs' and 'Feminine Fripperies'. This gorgeous collection of fashion pieces, accessories and home furnishings is beautifully illustrated and laid out in an easy-to-follow step-by-step format. Pretty Knits will give you the confidence and inspiration to experiment and create with a flourish.
