One More Stop

by Lois Walden (Author)

Synopsis

In the year 2003, twenty years after her mother's untidy death, Loli Greene is hired by an almost bankrupt theatre company to travel across the United States to teach tired, toxic teenagers to tap into their creative unconscious, so that they might better understand their world at large and the world of their ancestors. During her no less than challenging travels, Loli taps into her world at large only to uncover secrets about her past that change her imperfect present into what might become her most perfect future. While teaching in a town in the mid-west, she meets a mother and a daughter whose lives she transforms, and whose love transforms her.

Media Reviews
'Reminds you how to live again. How to make love, how to feel pain and joy and be a woman. Amazing' Miriam Margolyes 'Introduces you to a friend you do not want to lose. By turns hilarious, aggressive and touching, Loli Greene drags us in her wake as she crosses the US on a journey of self-discovery for her and for us. A terrific first novel' Maria Aitken 'An unforgettable, very adult, coming-of-age novel. Her protagonist is funny and fierce and passionate. One cannot help but root for her as she journeys towards self-discovery - a journey that takes her places joyful, sad, sexy and beautiful' Rebecca Gilman
