Synopsis

A single mother, Pearl, and her two children, Adam, and Lilith, a teenage Lolita, arrive to take over a derelict palace in Tuscany. The family are joined by Barney, Pearl's new husband. They all hail from South Africa, and Barney believes there's money in farming ostriches. There is an incident with a ferocious ostrich, and Barney buys a gun.

Author Bio
John Fraser was an actor in films as a young man. He was King Alfonso in the epic El Cid, he played opposite Catherine Deneuve in Roman Polanski's Repulsion, and he was nominated for an Academy Award for Bosie in The Trials of Oscar Wilde.After many years of West End and television appearances, he formed The London Shakespeare Group with Gary Raymond and Delena Kidd. For sixteen years the company traveled the world, presenting Shakespeare.He has published two novels, Clap Hands if you Believe in Fairies and In Place Of Reason; a travel book, The Bard In The Bush, and his autobiography, Close Up, An Actor Telling Tales, which was published in 2005 to considerable acclaim.He now lives with his partner in Tuscany.
