If you're a serious investor, ensure that a copy of the Almanac is on your desk for 2007. Questions answered in this year's Almanac include: What stocks should you buy or sell in December? What stocks should you buy or sell in January? Should you buy or sell stocks after they are ejected from the FTSE100 Index? Does the market in January accurately predict the direction of the market for the whole year? If the market rises 5 days in a row, what is the probability of it rising for a sixth day? Which days of the week are the best for the FTSE100? Which are the strongest and weakest months in the year for the market? How does the market react to the MPC monthly announcements? How is the stock market correlated with the oil price? What sectors are the strongest or weakest in each quarter? What type of companies become Ten Baggers? The questions also include: How has the daily volatility of the FTSE100 Index changed over the last 20 years? How does the FTSE100 behave in the days immediately following exceptionally large moves? Why should UK investors want Australia to win the Ashes? Should you buy companies whose CEO has the first name Michael or Philip?
