Author Bio
Jonathan M Fishman BA (Hons), MA (Cantab), BM BCh (Oxon), MRCS (Eng), DOHNS (RCS Eng) Jonathan is an Oxford SpR in ENT and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons. He graduated with a triple first class honours degree in Natural Sciences from Sidney Sussex College, University of Cambridge and completed his clinical training at St John's College, Oxford and at the John Radcliffe Hospital. Jonathan spent part of his medical training at both Harvard University and at NASA space centre. Jonathan has extensive teaching experience and is primary author of six undergraduate and postgraduate medical textbooks. He was awarded Taylor and Howard-Agg Scholarships at Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge and has been awarded the highly prestigious title of 'Lifelong Honorary Scholar', by the University of Cambridge, for academic excellence. In 2009 he was awarded the Royal Society of Medicine GlaxoSmithKline Fellowship Award for his academic achievements to date and in 2010 was awarded a Foreign and Commonwealth Office UK/USA fellowship. Jonathan is committed to a career in academic ENT, with a strong emphasis on teaching, education, research and career development. Laura M Fishman MB BS, BSc (Hons), nMRCGP, DFSRH Laura is the twin sister of Jonathan Fishman. She qualified from Imperial College, London with a first class honours BSc in Endocrinology. She undertook her medical rotations at St Mary's Hospital and at The Hammersmith Hospital in London, before joining Barnet VTS, where she completed the nMRCGP. She is now a GP Partner in Hertfordshire, with a special interest in teaching and education.
