The Four Letter Countries: The Zany Adventures of the Alphabet Traveller

The Four Letter Countries: The Zany Adventures of the Alphabet Traveller

by David Jenkins (Author)

Synopsis

David Jenkins lies awake in the early hours, his mind posing trivia questions plucked at random. Suddenly one in particular springs into focus: How many countries in the world have only four letters in their name? It marks the start of his personal challenge to visit all ten Four-Letter Countries, blissfully unaware of the scale of his mission or the dangers ahead. David embarks on an 85,000 mile journey around the world that leads him into war-torn Iraq, through the minefields of Laos and across the Andes to Machu Picchu. He is forced to go on the run in Chad, gets arrested in Jihadist Iran and finds himself stranded in the jungles of Fiji. He tracks smugglers in Oman, gains entry to the President's mansion in Togo, carries a mystery testicle around Peru and learns how to poo in Timbuktu. After David's hilarious and moving account of his travels, can alphabet travelling really catch on?
