Synopsis

The media seems to be obsessed with the deterioration of the nation's physical and mental health. All you hear about is obesity, disease, binge drinking and drug addiction. And what's the usual answer? Some complex detoxification programme, diets that mean you can only eat raw pulses and exercise regimes that will train you to be a marathon runner. Oh yes, and counselling so that your parents can ultimately take the blame for your problems...Here's a different approach that I've used myself and with friends and clients. It does involves exercise and diet but above all else - common sense! The net result will be a happier, healthier you. Without the need of endless colonic irrigation! - Kate Cook. What's it about? In Healthy Living , Kate Cook inspires us to take a look at our lifestyle and make small but important changes to how we live. She dynamically reveals how to: change set routines; make a little exercise go a long way; overcome everyday addictions - caffeine, tobacco, alcohol and chocolate; get friends and family involved; eat and drink more nutritiously (simply); and, think healthy. A healthy, more fulfilling life can be ours if we want it. By using Kate Cook's 52 brilliant ideas, in the course of a year we can all see the positive changes and new energy restored to our lives.

Author Bio
Kate Cook is a Nutritional Therapist and Director of The Nutrition Coach. She got into nutrition when she booked a colonic irrigation session by mistake. Too embarrassed to admit she was in the wrong appointment, Kate had no choice but to listen with bated breath to the nutrition advice given as an optional extra. It happened to be excellent and quite an eye-opener for Kate. As a result of this chance meeting, Kate went on to train at Britain's foremost college, The Institute For Optimum Nutrition, founded by Patrick Holford. Knowing how to make nutrition and lifestyle changes practical is one of Kate's particular strengths. She is also an accredited Life Coach.
