Author Bio
A highly respected authority on religious studies, Michael D. Coogan is Professor of Religious Studies at Stonehill College, Easton, Massachusetts, and Director of Publications at the Harvard Semitic Museum. His many books include The Oxford Companion to the Bible (1993), and he has served as consultant for a number of other major volumes, including The Illustrated Guide to the Bible (1995).
