Dr. Michael J. Benton is Professor of Vertebrate Palaeontology and Head of the Earth Sciences Dept at Bristol University. He has written hundreds of articles and books over the years, including numerous titles for children. He also acted as Palaeontological Consultant for the first programme of TV's 'Walking with Dinosaurs'.
