Author Bio
Neil Simco is Head of Primary Programmes at St Martin's College. He has a long-standing interest in the induction of new teachers and has published a number of professional development materials and research papers in this area. Recently, he has acted as consultant to the Teacher Training Agency in the development of the new arrangements for the induction period and he played a major role in the preparation of national support materials. Neil teaches on a range of courses for mentors of Newly Qualified Teachers and has extensive experience of mentoring in initial teacher training. Tatiana Wilson is Lecturer in Primary English at the University of Exeter.
