Author Bio
Joan Clifton is a professional horticulturalist whose career has encompassed the worlds of fashion, architecture and theatre design. With a strong sense of sculptural design and a passion for plants, she established her company, Avant Garden, in 1991, to specialize in architecturally inspired garden furniture and artefacts. She is a regular exhibitor at the Chelsea Flower Show, in England, and at other international events and is a consultant for the trade garden show, Fifth Room.
