Media Reviews
'Some city-dwellers think that making a roof garden is an easy short-cut to heaven on earth (or at least just above it). In reality, roof gardens are a pretty specialised from of garden design, and the conditions for plants are as tough as they come. Here at last is a book that will help you to make one successfully.' Stephen Anderton, The Times gardener.
Author Bio
Michele Osbourne graduated from the Sorbonne in Paris as a linguist before moving to England. Her passion for art and architecture inspired her to become a landscape designer, and she began practising in 1984. She has since completed many projects both in England and abroad, working increasingly with developers and architects. She won the prestigious Guardian's Britannia Homebuilder's Award for Best Landscaping . Designing many roof terraces in London's East End and Docklands allowed her to discover views of the city, which she found so exhilarating that she decided to abandon her Victorian terraced house in favour of a converted telephone exchange, where she could build her own roof garden.
