Diary of a Reluctant Psychic

Synopsis

The two women were sitting outside, away from the noise of the party. Marisa held a plastic glass full of Red Bull and vodka and was rambling on about being misunderstood. Dreanna was trying to pay attention but was slowly losing concentration. Her mouth opened before she could think of the consequences. Lillian loves you. She wants to tell you she has your baby and will look after her always. She says you must be true to yourself and not be what they want you to be. She also says, 'Take care my sweet princess.' Marisa's mouth opened but nothing came out. Dreanna's attentiveness returned. Shit. I'm - I'm sorry, please take no notice. Ignore me, really I'm so sorry. She shook her head and looked down at the ground. But, Marisa looked straight at her. My Nan's name was Lillian. She died in February and no one knows about my baby as I had a termination six weeks ago. Dreanna, please explain to me how you know all this. Dreanna was confused. All her life she had kept her secret and the last thing she wanted was for this to become public knowledge, but how was she going to dig herself out of this predicament? Lillian was back in her mind. Tell the truth Dreanna, be honest. Dreanna looked up from the ground. Yes I see dead people. I see them, I hear them and I feel them, I also feel people's pain and see it inside my head. I'm not proud of it, I don't like it but I can't make it go away. Her secret life was now out in the open.
