Media Reviews
Produced as a handbook rater than a scientific textbook, the authors have done away with formulas and unnecessary technical jargon and explain technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms. - Kevin Blunden, Association of Building Engineers It's like the Haynes Manual to energy in your home. [...] It demonstrates that with just a little imagination, lots of cooperation and the know-how, revolutionary things can be achieved. - Simon Brammer, Ashden UK Programme Manager A hugely valuable resource for individuals, households, communities and local and national decision makers. There is a revolution afoot in terms of how we imagine energy generation. This is its manifesto. - Rob Hopkins, founder of the Transition movement I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to understand and take control of their energy use, and especially to anyone who is thinking of renovating or building a house. It will give you the knowledge to plan well, make good decisions, and to know if someone is taking short cuts, or selling you a pup. - Cathy Debenham, yougen.co.uk
