  What sort of God is the God of creation? John Weaver begins by examining the Jewish story of creation and comparing it with those of the Babylonians and their other Near Eastern neighbours. He then concentrates on the discoveries of science, showing that in spite of the fact that they have led many to see design in the universe, they can take us only so far.
