Author Bio
MARTIN FONE works for Charles Taylor Consulting and his duties include the development of mutuals, risk retention groups and captive insurance arrangements. He started his insurance career with Municipal Mutual, having previously worked with Price Waterhouse, and also worked with Zurich Municipal and Munich-American RiskPartners. He has been at the forefront of developing integrated risk management programmes for the UK public sector and designing risk financing solutions aimed at maximizing the financial efficiencies of risk retention and transfer strategies.

PETER C. YOUNG occupies the E.W. Blanch, Sr. Chair in Risk Management at the University of St. Thomas College of Business, USA. He has been a Visiting Professor at the City University in London, Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo, and most recently at Glasgow Caledonian University. Currently he is an external scholar and senior advisor at the European Institute for Risk Management in Copenhagen, Denmark. He holds a PhD in Risk Management from the University of Minnesota, USA, and a Master's Degree in Public Administration (State and Local Government) from the University of Nebraska-Omaha, USA. He is considered a leading expert on Risk Management, particularly in public sector organizations. He has written four books and has been published extensively in academic and practitioner journals as well. In addition to his academic work, he is a consultant to and advises numerous organizations in the insurance and risk management fields.
