Create beautiful boxes, patterned lampshades, personalized gifts and cards, and much, much more -- all for the price of a few minimal materials! Decorating with your own stencils and stamps adds drama and excitement to household and personal items. These special decorating stencils and stamps cost only pennies to make from materials found around the house or in fabric and craft stores. Use a floral design to decorate newspaper for gift-wrap, cards, and ribbon; animals for a child's room; a geometric pattern for a scarf; vines for a serving tray retrieved from a secondhand store; a floral motif for a canvas floor mat and window shades; plus many more. Every one is easy to do and fun to make. All the techniques are described and used in over 40 projects that take you to the limits of your imagination.
