Performance Measurement in Charities

Performance Measurement in Charities

by David Wise (Author)

Synopsis

The Charities Act 1993 has made voluntary organizations more aware of the need to run a linear business and to measure performance accordingly. This work considers why performance measurement in charities is different from other businesses and what measures are used in practice. It highlights good and bad practices and suggests ways in which the accountability and performance of the sector might be improved.
