Her books have featured on National Curriculum and BBC children's television, and been chosen among the Children's Books of the Year. She was born in Grenada and lives in London. Debbie Hinks is a very experienced illustrator who has worked for all the major publishers in the last twenty years. She still cannot believe her luck that she gets paid for her favourite hobby - observing people and recording what she sees.
