The Moon Spun Round

The Moon Spun Round

by ElenorGill (Author)

Synopsis

Set in the UK in a small village of Hallowfield where a stone cottage and the sudden death of her cheating husband dramatically changes the life of Sally Lavender. In a Sea-change meets the Witches of Eastwick kind of book Sally is befriended by a very confident grey cat and four very different women each with their own personal issues but united by a belief in Wicca and the power of the Goddess. This is manifested in a freshwater spring in a small wood on Sally' land and she discovers that she is now Keeper of the Spring as she is increasingly drawn into the circle of friends. Together the women unite to help one of their number trapped in an escalating abusive relationship. When one of the women is brutally murdered they combine forces to bring about justice in a way that has nothing to do with the law of the land but all about ancient laws and the power of the moon. A very strong female read with fabulous characters - including a very self-possessed and memorable cat. A bewitching read.
