The Best New Zealand Fiction Volume 3

The Best New Zealand Fiction Volume 3

by Fiona Kidman (Author), Fiona Kidman (Author)

Synopsis

Drawing on the very best of what our local writers have been crafting over the past year, this collection of stunning stories and novel extracts gives an invaluable snapshot of the state of New Zealand's current literature. It's full of characters as varied and lively as Tim, succumbing yet again to the lure of alcohol, the young fashion designer putting on her first show, and Xiong, facing yet another day selling kiwifruit. There are various places and times: from New Zealand today to Germany in 1933, to a dreamlike Arctic in a futuristic time. There are stories of pain and happiness, stories of love and hate. Together they offer a rich diversity, making up a perfectly honed, beautifully expressed New Zealand voice.
