Author Bio
JANNE FAULKNER founded Nexus Designs in 1967. She works with contemporary Australian artists, early Australian furniture, and a core design philosophy is to mix the old with the new, and to use natural materials. Among Janne and Nexus' design projects are the interiors of Government House in Canberra, Admiralty House in Sydney, Stephanie Alexander's Richmond Hill Cafe and Larder, the interiors of the Australian embassy in Saudi Arabia and the Consul-General's residence in Japan. She was appointed a member of the Order of Australia for her services to the arts as a designer and is a member of the Creative Australia Board of the Commission for the Future. EARL CARTER is a Melbourne-based photographer whose work can be seen in Belle, Vogue Entertaining, World of Interiors and other international publications.
