Cosmic Bullets (Frontiers of Science)

by PaulDavies (Foreword), RogerClay (Author), Bruce Dawson (Author)

Synopsis

Cosmic rays have been studied for close to a century and have given us an understanding of the elementary particles that make up matter and the ways in which these particles interact with each other. The work describes what we now know of how cosmic rays are produced and their exotic sources, how we reached this stage, and details the new generation of cosmic ray experiments that are just now starting to take place.
