Robert Shapiro has held numerous posts in US politics, advising Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry, Michael Dukakis, Dan Moynihan amongst others. He spent four years (1997- 2001) as U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for Economic Affairs.
