HOOKED

HOOKED

by George Melly (Author)

Synopsis

Famous as Britain's leading and most outrageous jazz-singer, author of 14 books including three notorious autobiographies, expert, lecturer and writer on Surrcalism in particular and modern art in general, TV and radio personality, there would seem to be no end to George Melly's zest for life and at 72, appetite for work. Less well-known is his life-long passion for fishing and especially on the fly for trout. These humorous, poetic and earthy (or perhaps watery) memories of what he tends to believe to be his happiest hours, complete the picture of a very diverse man. He is aware of course that their appeal will be naturally to fellow-anglers in the main but is equally aware that more people fish than watch football.
