Author Bio
Jonathan Elphick is a professional writer, editor and consultant, specializing in ornithology and general natural history. He has written many magazine articles and contributed to a variety of books, including the innovative Collins Atlas of Bird Migration, which won Birdwatching magazine's 1996 award for best general reference book about birds, and Birds: A Guide Book to British Birds approved by the RSPB. David Tipling is a professional bird photographer who runs his own photographic agency, Windrush Photos, in Sevenoaks, Kent. He writes regularly for Birdwatching, one of Britain's leading magazines for birdwatchers. He is the author of Top Birding Spots in Britain and Ireland (HarperCollins, 1996) and Photographic Editor on the Photographic Handbook of the Seabirds of the World (New Holland, 1997).
