Christopher Somerville is one of Britain's most respected travel writers and a popular television and radio presenter, with a special interest in walking and countryside matters. For over ten years he has written the Daily Telegraph's 'Walk of the Month'. He has devised and presented a number of TV and radio series, including Anglia TV's Somerville's Walks and is a regular contributor to BBC Radio 4's Excess Baggage. Publications include Coastal Walks in England and Wales, Country Walks near London and The Spirit of Rural Ireland (New Holland, 2000). He lives in Bristol, England.
