Candle Making (Step-by-step)

Candle Making (Step-by-step)

by Cheryl Owen (Author)

Synopsis

Decorative candles are universally popular, whether coloured, scented, floating or with interesting inclusions, and making them at home is easier and cheaper than might be expected. Candles are an accessible way to add atmosphere and interest to a room and this guide includes full step-by-step instructions for a range of projects that should appeal to the first-time candle maker and those with some experience. The 16 colourful projects for the home and garden show a selection of effects using different waxes, such as beeswax and applique, as well as techniques like stencilling, layering and frosting. Gallery pages illustrate variations on the techniques explored in the projects and provide further inspiration. There is also a comprehensive section on the necessary materials and techniques.
