Author Michael Brett trained as a geographer at the University of Natal, South Africa. He has travelled widely in the USA, focusing his interest on natural heritage areas and wildlife. He writes for conservation magazines, has written and co-written several books, including the Great Game Parks of Africa: Masai Mara, and contributed to the recent Eyewitness Travel Guide to South Africa. Michael Brett has just returned to his home, South Africa, from his most recent, extensive tour of the USA. Acting as consultant is the USA's National Parks Service.
