Migraine: The Essentials (Class Health)

by Marek Gawel (Author), Frank Clifford Rose (Author)

Synopsis

For sufferers from migraine and their families, together with healthcare professionals, "Migraine: The Essentials" provides practical information about possible "triggers", the various types of migraine, the possibility of a relationship between the disease and the place you live, or there being other sufferers in the family, and the reasons for the feelings of elation or of exhaustion that can follow an attack. Specialist consultations are described along with modern methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment - both drug therapy and less conventional methods such as psychotherapy and biofeedback.

Media Reviews
Whether you are looking for greater understanding of migraine, information on treatment with or without drugs, or confirmation that your migraine is being appropriately managed, I highly recommend this book. - Alan Bartle, Chief Executive, The Migraine Trust; This very interesting book has filled in lots of gaps for me - about the causes of migraine headaches and about the different sorts of treatment. It will help me to prevent attacks and, when one occurs, will help me to treat it more effectively. - Judith Wise, London
