Sale & Supply of Goods

Sale & Supply of Goods

by Furmston (Author)

Synopsis

The purpose of this book is to give a clear, accurate and reasonably simple account of the law relating to the sale of goods. It is particularly designed for those students who do not spend a whole academic year on this subject. The emphasis is on those general concepts, such as passing of property and risk, which all students need to master, and on those problems, such as the sale of defective goods or of goods which do not belong to the seller, which are most important in practice. There is an analysis of the borderlines between sale of goods and allied contracts, such as hire purchase, hire, exchange and work and materials, the law of which is based on analogies drawn from sale of goods, of criminal liability and tortuous liability. This third edition deals with new cases decided since 1995; with the Sale of Goods (Amendment) Act 1995 and with the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999.
