General Practitioner & Negligence (Medico-Legal Practitioners)

General Practitioner & Negligence (Medico-Legal Practitioners)

by WalterScott (Author)

Synopsis

Several textbooks have recently become available which are excellent guides to the legal advancement or defence of a case. This book is different altogether, and should be regarded as a supplement rather than a competitor. The second edition retains its original aim of explaining the legal principles to doctors but it includes additional material directed at lawyers with medical principles clearly and concisely explained. It is hoped that the book will be equally useful to those advising both defendants and claimants.

Author Bio
Walter Scott quilified in medicine in 1968 and was in full time medical practice for twenty years. Part-time study led to a law degree in 1900 and he then left his partners to set up his own medico- legal consultancy. In this way he has been able to continue the care of patients and devote more time assisting lawyers with the defence or advancement of cases of alleged medical negligence. The wealth of referrals has enabled him to compile what is probably the most comprehensive database of specialist sdviser in the field.
