Within each specialist area the equivalent of the lecturer's notes, including key facts and formulae, are listed to provide a checklist for students and lecturers of the topics that need to be covered. These guidelines are interspersed, as appropriate, with problem-solving activities which students can tackle only when they have acquired the understanding and associated skills.
