Breaking Through Culture Shock

Breaking Through Culture Shock

by ElisabethMarx (Author)

Synopsis

A practical guide, with checklists and exercises, offering step-by-step guidance for those embarking on an international career, and advice for organisations on how to develop and manage international career experiences. The text argues that the solution to culture shock is to understand the culture shock triangle - social skills and identity, thinking style, and emotions - which will enable the reader to cope with the stress of an international career, interpret the behaviour of those around them and develop their own international identity.
