Brits at Work: The Inside Job on Management

Brits at Work: The Inside Job on Management

by JohnMole (Author)

Synopsis

John Mole was the general manager of an international bank - equipped with an MBA from INSEAD (Europe's most prestigious business school), an MA from Oxford University and considerable acquaintance with the textbooks of management theory. He then took a series of temporary jobs to see for himself how the grass roots reality of business culture method matched up to the theories about it. He wanted to discover what it was like to be managed. On his first day as a management spy, Mole was fired for incompetence from a job he himself had frequently hired people to do! Sometimes poignant, constantly surprising, often hilariously funny, it gives a mole's eye view of a slice of life that occupies most of the waking hours of millions of people.
