Out of Time

Out of Time

by JamesFountain (Author)

Synopsis

In February 1996, 16-year-old James Fountain was a normal, bright, hardworking schoolboy who was keen on rugby and cricket. Where he stood out from the crowd, however, was his vocal criticism of drug use among his peers. At a post mock-GCSE party, James' drink was spiked with LSD and for the next three months he was to find himself in a tailspin of drug induced psychosis that almost cost him his life. This highly-charged personal account describes in detail what it was like to be caught up in this hallucinatory hell - from semi-consciousness to long-term rehabilitation in various psychiatric wards. Out of Time is a frightening indictment of the dangers of drug abuse and the consequences of other people's actions. It will be a wake-up call to a hedonistic generation and offers an invaluable tale of triumph over adversity.
