by Denis Bond (Author)

Synopsis

Distinguished writer Denis Bond has written some 70 books for children and teenagers. His latest offering is especially for the Pop Idol generation, and he catapults his readers into the weird and wonderful world of the pop industry. At the heart of the book is the rivalry between two classmates who also happen to be would-be pop stars - Terry Smith and Ray Rosetti. Both are ambitious, but beyond that, they are worlds apart. Terry is a gypsy and has a voice as big as his heart; Ray has the boy-band looks and his father's bank balance to back him. Rivals in love as well as in ambition they each struggle to realise their dream - the coveted number one spot in the charts. With its plots twists, well drawn characters and sympathetic portrayal of gypsy life, this is a book that will appeal to any teenager who has ever dreamed of becoming famous.
